Harper Survives

Harper is able to survive another month due to the Governor General, Michaele Jean. She decided to give the Conservitive Government one more month to "Figuare things out" so that our government can start to go back to work for the people then just for themselves. Lets hope that Canada will not have to see another election process in which our money is once again wasted down the drain for no purpose.

One of the most weirdest vampire movies that has ever been created. The movie is far off from the book because it left out so much info and not to mention the fact that in the movie the vampires don't have any fangs.....Also vampires don't "glitter" when hit by the sun, THEY BURN DUH!!! The movie had good visual effects but the acting was a little bit disappointing. Although it was underfunded, the director was able to do a pretty good job but I agree with the paper and give it 2.5/5.

Moon Landing

One of the most incredible things has recently happened. Currently on our moon is a Indian experimenhtal moon lander. The objective of this landing is to fully map out the moon so people get a better understanding. This is truly amazing because no one has been able to do this in the past 30 years.

Rememberance DAy

"Remember remember the 11 of November, the battle that was fought. Remember the soldiers that gave their lives for us, make sure that they will never be forgot."- Conner Olenick Notre Dame

"Lest we forget the dead that stood by their brothers in arms to make this land free. Remember the unknown dead who still remain anonymous. Let us remember the soldiers that did heroic things in desperate times. Let us remember the soldiers that saved helpless civilians from the wrath of the greedy and unjust. Never forget what soldiers fight for. " Conner Olenick Notre Dame

To this day people around the world remember November 11 as a day of tragedy and sadness, but also as hope. Hope to the soldiers who still fight for our freedom and safety. Hope to other countries that need our help and guidance. Most of all hope to the parents of soldiers who are in the Middle East.

Never Forget that hope will always be in this world.

Microsoft Announces New Operating Systems

Yesterday (October 27, 2008) Microsoft unveiled details of two new operating systems. Currently the most commonly used Microsoft operating systems are Windows XP and Windows Vista. Although frequently criticized, often by those who never used it Vista is actually a very stable, rich environment in which to work, particularly when used with up to date machines.

Nevertheless Microsoft has decided to press ahead with successors for Vista. In late 2009 Windows 7 will be released. It will be much like Vista. Around the same time Microsoft will release Windows Azure, an operating system that lives on Microsoft servers and not in your computer. This is called Cloud Computing, the "Cloud" being the Internet. Basically this means that you won't need an operating system or programs: they will all live in the "Cloud."

Whether this works out or not remains to be seen. However, many companies are already trying this, both with Microsoft and with Google products.

"Cloud" computing is one of the most used technology buzz words at present.

Global Anti-piracy Day

October 21 as Global Anti-piracy Day.

Software piracy is a very common thing these days. In asia over 90% of PC's have pirated software. A estimated $50 billion has been lost due to pirating. This is very dangerous for small software companies because they can lose everything very fast. Microsoft is helping out small companies by cutting into illegal sales and making sure the companies receive their full payment. This is why Microsoft genuines their computers.
